Studio Theater Stuttgart

The Studio Theater Stuttgart – which has been in existence for over 50 years now, along with its children’s theatre KRUSCHTELTUNNEL – is a small theatre with two intimate stages set in a cosy, leafy courtyard in the heart of Stuttgart – a real rarity these days! The Studio Theater is regarded as an insider’s tip both in Stuttgart and on the national private theatre scene. The city magazine LIFT called it “The Berlin of Stuttgart’s stages”. Two Monica Bleibtreu Awards, as well as two nominations for the German Theatre Award of the Bühnenverein (DER FAUST) in 2024 and 2025, are among the honours bestowed upon our artistic work. One visitor aptly wrote about our little theatre: “In hardly any other theatre are you so close to the actors. As a member of the audience, you can feel their breath, look them ‘right into the eyes’, hear even the finest nuances, and in the front row you are more or less sitting on stage yourself.”
