Beer tasting – fun beer tasting – culinary city tour Dresden

The beer tasting of the Dresden craft beer tour is a culinary city tour and shows you the “best places of beer”. On this beer tour, we visit the local brewers in their rustic pubs and alternative clubs in Neustadt. What they all have in common is their love of excellent, hand-crafted beer.

The first part leads through the former Altendresden, with its narrow alleyways and 18th century buildings, directly to the Watzke brewery pub. Out to the former “Black Gate” and arrive at one of the oldest pubs in the new town, the “Bautzner Tor”. The pub’s furnishings and charm allow you to experience “Eastern nostalgia at Western prices”. This is where the Schwingenheuer brewery is located, just a few streets away. “Lenin” brews all kinds of beers. Depending on what he has just brewed, we taste it. Then we plunge into the hustle and bustle of the Outer New Town in the evening. The Gründerzeit district is the alternative centre of Dresden. It has the highest density of pubs in the world and is home to Dresden’s creative industries. We visit the Kunsthofpassagen with its craft beer store. Here you can find over 300 speciality beers from Saxony to the ends of the earth. We stop for a bite to eat right at the “Bermuda Triangle”. Now it depends on the season which pub is next, because we have more choice than stamina.
