The Leipzig Bach Festival is an internationally renowned music festival that takes place every June and is entirely dedicated to the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. Renowned artists from all over the world, together with the St Thomas Choir and the Gewandhaus Orchestra, present a varied programme of concerts, church services and events at historic sites associated with Bach. Each year, the festival has a different theme, which opens up new perspectives on Bach’s work and its significance for the present day.
