Hidden away in the heart of the picturesque Stemmerhof on Sendlinger Berg is a little gem: the Hoftheater München. Since its founding in 2021, our non-profit theatre, with its intimate seating capacity of just under 100, has established itself as a cultural treasure and artistic oasis that brings people from all walks of life together. Our programme focuses on diversity and includes captivating plays, vibrant concerts, charming children’s theatre, jazz evenings and witty cabaret. During our enchanting musical theatre evenings, the life stories of famous show stars are uniquely intertwined with songs and live music.
The Hoftheater offers a platform for powerful works such as 1984, Mein Blind Date mit dem Leben (My Blind Date with Life), Zweifel (Doubt) and many more, with exciting ensembles that have included well-known artists such as Diana Körner, Ursula Buschhorn, Saskia Valencia, Liz Howard, Michel Guillaume and Peter Kremer. Our cosy neighbourhood theatre in the centre of Sendling is more than just a stage – it is a lively meeting place and vibrant ‘living room’ where guests become friends. This is what gives the Hoftheater its unique charm.
The Hoftheater is close to our hearts – as a venue and home for everyone who loves theatre and its diversity and wants to leave everyday life behind for a precious moment. It is a place where culture is lived, breathed and loved.
