A journey through 200,000 years of history.
At the Frankfurt Archaeological Museum, you can experience history up close – from the Stone Age to Roman times to the Middle Ages and beyond.
Here you can discover impressive original finds: tools used by the first hunters and gatherers, grave goods from Roman times, Byzantine artefacts and everyday objects from a wide variety of cultures.
Particularly exciting is the city’s 2,000-year-old history, which can be seen in the Kaiserpfalz franconofurd: Roman baths, walls of Carolingian royal courts and late medieval cellars – a real showcase of Frankfurt’s origins.
(Tuesday – Sunday: 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.)
The museum is centrally located in the heart of Frankfurt and is wheelchair accessible. Ideal for anyone who loves history, culture and archaeological treasures.
