From 11 November to Ash Wednesday, Cologne is a particularly colourful city. Join us to become a Jeck and get to know and love Cologne during the most important time of the year. We will parade from the cathedral through the old town to Heumarkt. On our way, we will show you traditional squares and sights such as Willi Ostermann Platz, where it all began. A short stop at a brewery with a real Kölsch beer is of course a must. Where does this Kölle Alaaf actually come from? And why do the blue sparks always lead the way? After our tour at the latest, you’ll be fit for the Rose Monday parade!
Südstadt tour from banana to chocolate
Tour through Cologne’s Südstadt district incl. Wegbier / 2 hours
The southern part of the city is both charmingly Kölsch and cosmopolitan and international. Would you like to experience the soul of Cologne? Nowhere is this better than in Südstadt. From Severinstraße to Chlodwigplatz, there is plenty to see and experience. The Südstadt cathedral, the Severinstor and the Kölsche Invalidendom are just a small part of the tour. Along the way, we come across numerous iconic trendy shops, 2nd hand shops, colourful outdoor restaurants and the Lukas Podolski kebab, which is famous beyond the city limits. You might even bump into a Cologne personality or two here. After the two-hour tour in a small group, you will know why bananas and chocolate have a special connection to Cologne’s Südstadt district.
